Single Guys Cooking: Lamb Burgers

So, I thought it was time to officially welcome our male audience in so they could feel more included. Because being a Reluctant Housewife doesn't nessasarily mean you're a woman. This is an inclusive space kids! The more the merrier!


I invited my best friend Michael to come over and up his grilling skills. Already killer on the BBQ Michaels complained about eating too many packaged and frozen meals when he's not grilling and would like to elevate his cooking game to something more healthy and fresh.


In keeping with the grilling theme I taught him to make Lamb Burgers with a delicious greek sauce. This easy recipe was the perfect starter recipe for him or anyone who's looking to up their game. It gives you the chance to strengthen your chopping skills and how to use the illusive cast iron skillet.

Lamb Burgers with Greek Sauce


1/2 c.

full-fat Greek yogurt 

1/4 c.

crumbled feta

2 tsp.

freshly chopped mint

1 tsp. lemon juice

Kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

1 lb. ground lamb

4 hamburger buns

1/4 red onion, thinly sliced into rounds

Arugula, for serving


In a medium bowl, stir to combine yogurt, feta, mint, and lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper.

Divide ground lamb into 4 equally sized patties. Make an indent with your thumb in the center of each patty, and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.


Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.


Add burgers and cook  until crisp on the outside and still slightly pink in the center, 6 minutes per side for medium.


Spread each top and bottom bun with yogurt sauce. Top with the patty, red onion, arugula, and top bun. Enjoy!
