Reluctant Housewife: Cacio e Pepe
Have you ever come home from a long flight or car ride or just plain life and looked in your fridge only to realize you have nothing to eat and you're starving right at this moment? It's pretty typical to get rid of everything in your house before traveling. But some of the basics never go bad which make Cacio e Pepe or Spaghetti with butter, cheese and pepper your new best friend.
This easy and quick meal is done in no time and gives you the warm, carby feeling you need when you've just gotten off a plane and need a good starchy hug.

Cacio e Pepe
Spaghetti pasa
3 tbsp butter
kosher salt to taste
Cracked black pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan
Boil water and add pasta to it. Cook until al dente, or about 8 minutes until soft.
In a sauce pan on medium heat add butter to melt. Add Pepper.
Pour 1/2 cup pasta water into pan. Remove from heat. Add 1/2 cup parmesan. Whisk until is combines.
Drain pasta from water and add to pan. Turn heat on medium and coat your pasta in the sauce until it's covered. The heat can form a crispiness to it and can be delightful.
Add salt to taste and heat!
