Reluctant Housewife: Steak and Frites

You may have had this before but when you add the french work frite which actually means, french fry it can almost seem like you're trying them for the first time all over again.

Well, if you've ever wondered how to make a great steak and enjoy eating french fries then you've found the place to be.

Steak and Frites

1 New York Strip steak

olive Oil

frozen french fries

mayonaise

fresh garlic

1/2 lemon

salt and pepper

Set your steak out in room temperature to rest for 20 min.

Set your oven to the desired temp of your frozen french fries. Let fries bake for around 20 minutes or until golden brown.

During this time start by making your aioli sauce. Smash your 2 garlic cloves in a press or finely chop each and smash against them with a large knife. Place all ingredients in bowl. Add 2 large dollops of mayonnaise, 1 tbsp of olive oil, squeeze a 1/2 a lemon and salt and pepper to taste. Stir together until smooth and put aside.

Turn your grill to high and drizzle about a tbsp of olive oil to coat. Sear your steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for a medium rare steak or 7-8 minutes on each side for a medium well done steak. Take steak off grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Plate your steak, fries and aioli sauce and eat! Noms.
